The previous article talked about common rescue slings: Type III safety harness, triangle slings, and invertible rescue slings.

1) Type III safety harness
Maintain working position and anti-fall, used in various environments of ascent and descent.

Used to connect various anti-fall equipment and work positioning, such as connecting ascenders, descenders, fall arresters, etc. Equipment loops on both sides of the harness are used to carry some auxiliary parts and auxiliary equipment.

(2) Rescue triangle sling

It is suitable for evacuation and rescue using a winch or descender. It is lightweight, simple and easy to wear.
It has multiple tie-down points and can be adapted to various body shapes without adjustment. It is suitable for public security fire rescue, mountaineering, rock climbing, climbing, outdoor adventure, expansion training and other activities.

(3) Invertible rescue slings

Suitable for underground activities that require the rescuer to be turned upside down. The harness has leg straps that secure the ankles and allows for head-down abseiling in narrow spaces and tunnels (well shafts, etc.).
Thanks to the ergonomic padding, it feels comfortable when the head and feet are turned upside down and distributes the weight on the shoulders, waist, and ankles.

Precautions for wearing safety harness

1. Distinguish between up, down, inside, outside, left and right, and do not twist them upside down.

2. Webbing: When wearing a safety harness, the position of the webbing should be above the hip bone and below the end of the ribs, and should not compress the diaphragm. After putting it on, pull the webbing down firmly without pulling it under your hip bones. If the webbing is worn too low, there is a risk of the person being knocked out in the event of a fall from head to foot. If you wear it too high, it will constrict your breathing. The standard for a tight webbing is when two fingers cannot stand up when placed into the harness.

3. Leg straps: Leave about a palm (flat) space between the thigh and leg circle to avoid hindering activities.
4. The webbing and leg straps need to be buckled back. The length of the buckle back is greater than 8CM. Put the extended part of the tail of the webbing into the back of the belt (elastic band)
5. Confirmation inspection (need to be inspected again before climbing or operating).
